I didn’t want a caption-heavy book, so this page is nice to at least chronicle some of our adventures.įor some events like birthday parties, I wanted to get as many pictures on one page as possible. I used the first page to highlight some of our big (and small) events from the year. Since we took professional family pictures that year, I wanted to take advantage of that particular cover option. One of the cover options is to use a photo for the entire background. I finished my 2014 book last week, but wanted to show you a little from the 2013 yearbook. When this coupon popped up in my email, I knew I needed to get the album finished soon to take advantage of the great deal! This year I started working on my 2014 book after Christmas. And wait until you see how much less space one of the books takes up compared to my old albums. I found the software very easy to use and I liked how I could save the project to my computer, not just the website’s server. Although I’ve been a loyal Shutterfly user for years, I decided to give My Publisher a shot. The quality of the book, different layout options, and slim style really appealed to me. So about this time last year, Young House Love inspired me to create a family yearbook using My Publisher. I’m sure my hubby mentioned more than once that we wouldn’t have enough shelf space eventually… But after I married, and my family got bigger and we took more pictures, my collection of albums grew. When I did get a digital camera, I ordered my prints via Shutterfly and saved a little money by buying their prepaid photo print plan. Gosh, that was before digital cameras, too! At least, before I owned one. : ) Starting in high school, I bought photo albums holding about 300 pictures each and created my own personal albums. I’m not sure that she appreciated me “stealing” photos out of each album she ever put together, but my heart was in the right place. When I was about 10, I made a special scrapbook for my mom on Mother’s Day. Ever since I was in middle school, I have enjoyed printing off family and friend pictures and creating different albums.
